Who said business trips were all work and no play? Our collection of Lavender hotels in the North West offers the perfect balance of mixing work with pleasure. Follow our tips to get the most out of your stay and you’ll check out feeling recharged and refocused…
Travelling for work and being away from your trusted home comforts can be stressful, so it’s good to find ways to take time to wind down.
Work out as well as work: Many of our hotels have good leisure facilities, so try to make time to pay the gym and follow up with a dip in the pool – schedule a bit of you time into part of the day that suits your working pattern best. If you don’t make it there in the morning, try to get in there before evening dinner. It’s a great mood booster and you’ll feel refreshed after a busy day working.
Take a break: If you’ve had a long commute to your hotel, factor in some time out to relax before the meetings – no calls, no emails – even for just 10 minutes if that’s all you can spare. There’s good reason to do it: it’ll refresh your mind and it’ll help you become more creative.
Eat well: One of the best things about business trips means absolutely no cooking! And you don’t have to overindulge if you don’t want to. There are lots of healthy choices on offer, or you can have a treat too if you fancy it! Later on, you don’t need to go overboard on the alcohol either. Keep a clear head and enjoy one good glass of wine, or alternate with some soft drinks – it means you’ll be more equipped to hit the gym the next day, helping to make the most of your stay!
Explore: There’s plenty to explore in and around our collection of North Western hotels. From country house hotels set in stunning acres of gardens and grounds, to modern hotels with easy access to the major towns and cities, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Make sure you’ve got time to relax while on your travels. Don’t forget to pack casual clothes and get out there for a walk and away from your laptop.
